Dr. Agarwal is Director of the Economic Forecasting Project and a Professor of Economics at Old Dominion University. He served as Interim Dean of the Strome College of Business from July 2014 to June 2015, as well as Chairman of ODU’s Economics Department from 2001 to 2006. He was a member of the Virginia College Building Authority for the Commonwealth of Virginia from July 2004 to June 2012 and served on the Governor's Advisory Board of Economists from 2006 to 2010. Dr. Agarwal's research focuses on applied economics. He has authored or co-authored more than 60 professional journal publications and research monographs. In addition to citations in professional publications, his work has also been cited in more than 130 newspapers, magazines, and wire reports throughout the U.S., including the Dow Jones Newswire, The Economist, and USA Today.
Valbridge Property Advisors
Mr. Colorito manages the Virginia offices and serves on the National Board of Directors of Valbridge Property Advisors, the largest independent commercial real estate valuation and consulting firm in North America. He has been in the valuation industry for 30 years and has worked on assets in more than 20 states and valued at billions of dollars. He is the Chair of the E.V. Williams Center for Real Estate and teaches real estate valuation for the Strome College of Business. He holds a B.S. in Finance from Penn State, an M.S. in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver, and the Appraisal Institute's prestigious MAI designation. He has also served in the leadership of several local professional and philanthropic organizations in Virginia. Currently, he serves on the Advisory Board of the Institute of Real Estate Studies for the Smeal College of Business, Penn State.
The Franklin Johnston Group
Christen Faatz is the Senior Vice President – Corporate Finance & Accounting. Christen is responsible for all of The Franklin Johnston Group’s internal financial activities including budgeting and strategic planning, treasury/banking, cash management, oversight of the company’s 401k investments, audit/tax and various other finance and accounting functions related to the corporate entity and the group’s owned assets. Prior to her current position, Christen served as the VP of Operations during a tremendous growth phase of the company, when the group assumed management of an additional 11,000 apartment units, doubling the portfolio. She was responsible for onboarding those assets as well as overseeing budgeting for all properties under management, policy creation, standardization and implementation and various special projects with the development team. Christen joined The Franklin Johnston Group as Director of Corporate Strategy in March 2015 after a number of years working for members of the Virginia General Assembly. Christen is a graduate of the University of Virginia and received her MBA from The Mason School of Business at the College of William & Mary. She currently serves on the Region 5 Board of GO Virginia, a bipartisan, business-led economic development initiative that is changing the way Virginia’s diverse regions collaborate on economic and workforce development activities.

Mr. Rose has served as President of Rose & Womble Realty’s New Homes Division for 30 years and was named Chief Operating Officer in 2016. Under his leadership, the New Homes team has marketed over 450 individual communities in Virginia and North Carolina and sold more than 30,000 homes. Rose & Womble is one of the largest real estate agencies in Southeastern Virginia and consistently ranks first in sales with more than $1 billion in annual residential real estate volume. The New Homes Division has received many awards for excellence, including recognition from the National Association of Home Builders, Tidewater Builders Association, and Peninsula Home Builders Association. Mr. Rose has been named a “Legend of Real Estate Marketing” by the National Association of Home Builders. He is a 1975 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and served as a decorated Naval aviator.

Ms. Stearns is a Senior Vice President with JLL’s Hampton Roads office and specializes in office and industrial property sales and leasing. She is a consistent top producer and has been recognized several times as a CoStar Power Broker, most recently in 2018.. With more than 40 years of experience in commercial real estate, she has served as Senior Vice President at Harvey Lindsay Commercial Real Estate, Managing Director at Advantis Real Estate Services, and Vice President of Rowe Development. She was inducted into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame in 2015 and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Volunteer Hampton Roads in 2009. Ms. Stearns is a graduate of Old Dominion University and received the Alumni Legacy Award from the Strome College of Business in 2019.

Mr. Zarpas is Vice President of Retail Brokerage and Development at S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co., a fifth generation full-service commercial real estate firm founded in 1906. He is a seasoned veteran of the industry with 30 years of active service in the Coastal Virginia region. He brings a unique perspective to the retail industry, with experience as a broker, landlord, tenant, developer, and manager on a multitude of commercial projects. His current focus is in the areas of investment sales, leasing, tenant representation, and development of retail properties in Virginia and North Carolina. Before joining S.L. Nusbaum, he founded Global Real Estate Investment, Inc., a comprehensive commercial real estate firm serving the mid-Atlantic region. Mr. Zarpas is a graduate of Old Dominion University’s finance and real estate program and served as Government Relations Committee Chair for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
