As part of its Resilience Program to address and minimize power disruptions, commuting delays, and economic losses in the region, NJ TRANSIT is implementing the NJ TRANSITGRID project (Project). The Project is a first-of-its-kind microgrid designed to provide reliable power during emergencies for NJ TRANSIT’s Morris & Essex and Hudson-Bergen Light Rail lines as well as Amtrak’s critical Northeast Corridor. NJ TRANSITGRID will be able to power these services even if disconnected from the commercial power grid, ensuring that local and regional rail services remain operational longer and are fully restored quickly.
NJ TRANSIT invites firms qualified to implement and manage all or part of such a project to a Market Sounding Forum to discuss the agency’s overall project goals and objectives, as well as opportunities for investment partnership arrangements to deliver the Project.
Join us to learn about this innovative, first-of-its-kind, microgrid project and how your firm can participate in this endeavor with NJ TRANSIT. The Forum will also afford an opportunity to network with other interested industry participants.
